La Crosse Loggers
Founded in 2003 by Dan and Ruth Kapanke, the La Crosse Loggers are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Over 200 former Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, 19 of which were developed through the La Crosse Loggers. Three-time Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (Washington Nationals), 2018 World Series Champion and seven-time All-Star Chris Sale (Boston Red Sox), 2018 Gold Glove Award winner Matt Chapman (Oakland Athletics), and current Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Eric Thames all spent time in a Loggers uniform during their journey to the Major Leagues.
